Door ajar light is staying on with doors closed ??? happy fourth of july to everyone!! so i'm starting to think that my jetta is coming up with things to break so that i have to keep spending time working on the car.. 2003 volkswagen jetta door ajar light wont turn off and car alarm i have been having similiar issues to norcalgal on my jetta gl 4 dr sedan. i close my car door and turn on the ignition and the door ajar light turns on, normally i would not care since i know my door is securely closed and ignore the light.. 2004 vw jetta interior lights/door buzzer fix project auto. 2003 vw beetle diagnosing dome light/door latch switch. removing door panel carrier. door ajar/dome light stuck on??? annoying!!.
2006 vw jetta tdi my door ajar light remains on. windows don't work. the red light at the bottom of the driver's door goes on and off as i open it. the keyless entry does not work.. Source: 2003 volkswagen jetta door ajar light wont turn off and car alarm the problem you are experiencing is the drivers side interior light switch is not working. this is usually found in the door latch on later model cars and usually requires the complete latch mechanism changing.. Door ajar warning 2002 vw jetta; results 1 to 2 of 2 thread: my door drivers side door ajar warning light comes on and starts beeping, i have to open and close the door a few times for this to go away and it only goes away for a few minutes before it starts again, has anyone else had this problem or know how to either fix it or get around.
